I've just wasted two days trying to make Win 7 driver working under Win 8 architecture and it did work... for a while. Then it created this new fancy blue screen in Win 8 and (eventually) it rolled back all changes I've done to the system since the driver installation. Very frustrating - especially if you've just lost a few hours of installing and activating all your Cubase, Pinnacle AVID and other soft you normally use.
In my setup I have two Midisports 4x4 and previously, under Vista, I had issues with them not being able to start simultaneously after cold reboot. It was sufficient to disconnect one and let the system boot. I was convinced that the problem was down to Vista but now, after what I've seen under Win 8 64bit, I'm not so sure anymore. The overall behavior was very similar to what I'd seen previously in Vista, the only difference was that this time the OS wasn't able to cope with it AT ALL.
So perhaps the time has come to get rid of both Midisports in favor of 8x8 ESI interface?
I wonder if the same fate would hit my Delta 1010...
